Our Mini Montage

Profile

My contribution to the company's quarterly newsletter:

Hello Everyone,

Nearly half a year has flown by, so how has your resolution holding up? It has been a great experience for me since joining xxx as a xxx. I had the opportunity to add another feather (actually, many) to my hat with the additional skills I’ve picked up from my dear colleagues, be it training or sharing my new knowledge in general. My initial years after graduation was with xxx in xxx and prior to joining xxx, I was in xxx research with a xxx company.
It has been great being involved in helping you achieve your goals and your sharing of the many inspiring stories. I am looking forward to the forthcoming activities where we can get to meet in person and have some fun. The four loves in my life (excluding family and friends of cause!) are movies/theatres, books, food and travel, in no order of importance. I have no specific preference and I will try most things at least once, yes, including ‘exotic’ food. So far I only had the opportunity to try rabbit meat, and like I have mentioned, just once will do. Catching a show is quite a weekly routine and it basically depends on which trailer/ hunk/ babe catches my eye. Live performances are definitely the most captivating for me. Reading is another form of pastime and it depends on whether I need inspiration or some lighthearted entertainment. Having not traveled to many places, my plan is to explore the countries by continents when time permits. So it may be Europe in the itinerary for a few holidays then the Asian region. Just some fun facts to share: Africa contains the world's longest river (The Nile). Antarctica is the only continent completely covered in ice. Asia contains the world's biggest nation (China). Oceania has more sheep than people. So guess what we’ll be seeing during the Melbourne trip? After all, it is important for everyone to have a Pxxx for Lxxx.

So what do you think???? It'll be read by my colleagues & clients!!!

Twas a fairly good week

The kind of people you train makes a huge difference to your stress level. It was a breeze...minimal hiccups and the unity of the family is sure inspiring. I had fun, we made each other laugh. Of cos, I don't expect this weekly but it's great to have good students :P

My poor teachers....they were saints to tolerate me. But I guess it's a different cup of tea. Teaching a kid vs teaching an adult (or psuedo adult)

Thursday the 13th

Freaky day, worst-case scenario. What an eventful day, only bliss was when Myat called to let me know there'll be no class for today. Ugh. Thank God for Sha who helped to keep me sane. Was asking her and Je about the 'old' me, the ward version of me. Considered atas and rarely converse with those around me, I am the polar opposite of what I was like 6, 7 years back. Yes, it has been that long. Hmmm, suspicion as confirmed, I am more 'me' now at work than days of yore. Come to think of it, this is a place where I feel comfortable in my own skin. Hmmm....old age?!? Whatever, some things still irks me as before.

A reflected vision, a stolen moment.

A chance of release.

Once again, it makes no sense.

But then again, what else can it be.

You think you're the only one.
So pathetic and sad.
Living a life many would envy.
And yet you know not how,
to grab the life that you've been given.
To know that your action are irresponsible.

Pick yourself up when you fall.
Bandage your cuts, wounds and bruises.
Wait no more but for yourself.
To pick up the many pieces.

Joni Mitchell- Both Sides Now

Rows and flows of angel hair And ice cream castles in the air And feather canyons everywhere, I've looked at clouds that way. But now they only block the sun, They rain and snow on everyone So many things I would have done, But clouds got in my way. I've looked at clouds from both sides now From up and down and still somehow It's cloud's illusions I recall I really don't know clouds at all Moons and Junes and ferris wheels, The dizzy dancing way that you feel As every fairy tale comes real, I've looked at love that way. But now it's just another show, You leave 'em laughing when you go And if you care, don't let them know, Don't give yourself away. I've looked at love from both sides now From give and take and still somehow It's love's illusions I recall I really don't know love at all Tears and fears and feeling proud, To say "I love you" right out loud Dreams and schemes and circus crowds, I've looked at life that way. Oh but now old friends they're acting strange, They shake their heads, they say I've changed Well something's lost, but something's gained In living every day. I've looked at life from both sides now From win and lose and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I really don't know life at all I've looked at life from both sides now From up and down, and still somehow It's life's illusions I recall I really don't know life at all.

B.R.E.A.K.

I want a break. I need a break.
But alas, my pocket's taking a break too. Sigh....

A sunny place or a wintery sky.
The beach or a museum.
I, of the fickle mind.
But still a break in I find.
To exotic places at exorbitant prices.

Paris or Rome.
Bali or Bintan.
Just to get away from it all.

I want, I want, I want....it all...

Late night

I should be asleep. a long day awaits. My slides are not done, and I've yet to search for answers to the last question. Pre-test, post-test. The figures for March. Procrastination....

4hrs more and I'll need to be up. I have to. Stay alert. Do my work.

If only...what if....the possibilities are endless. Possibilities of many possibilites. I'll always wonder. A step back, another turn. A total different direction. I think too much...no, I wonder too much.
