Ain't no pleasure when it's f#%$^&%*ing miserable

u & mi

Past the witching hour and my intense Z monster disappeared. Seems like there's problem uploading pics tdy, oh well.

Quidam was ok, I prefer Alegria.

Seminar was intensive, hustle bustle, many blisters. Reckon I was better than expected.

Sense of frustration? Countless.

You look tired, wanna rest awhile?
Oh, how wonderful that you did it...
It's ok, another day.

You, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, , you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me, you, me

Pressies from My Dear-Dear

Friday, September 16, 2005

Nit picker, dog sitter.
STOP!

Crashed

Avoid unless you're really bored. A lesson in how to be the ultimate brat and how to be sane when your family's raving mad. 2 damn chee-hong buddies who goes round screwing gals. An unfunny comedy.

Movie Update

Din get all teary-eyed as expected, think it's cos of all the articles and reviews I've read. Tragic stories especially of the old man and the security guard. Can't compare to his previous movies as I've not watched them. Buxomy figure the young sexually-confused gal's got.

Sent us many yards-a-laughing. Hilarious, feel-good movie. A touch of sadness and reality when the buddy dies. Must watch!

Kacang Putih Ratings 4.5/5

When you grow up; watchign Bewitched and fantasing bout being Samantha, this movie version is disappointing. Kidman with her oh-so-breathless voice that's just so fake and her 'wiggle' nose...light fairly entertaining if you ignore the original Sam in your head.

Day After

2nd day at work, quite ok so far. My greatest nightmare is to report for work, get shown to your desk and sit there staring blankly into space while waiting for whoever has been assigned with the chore to guide you show up. Not my caregiver's fault of cos as it's always the management's duty to plan the induction of a new stuff, I studied the theory beind it and have experienced a fantastic orientation program before so I know. But anyway, it's really a crazy week for everyone it seems, except me of cos. No harm done as everyone has been really helpful. I did a bit of springcleaning. No stationaries, no workstation...clean slate. Facing the 'back' door, I'll be like the Japanese goodluck cat :) Just a bit of a boo boo this moring, was told last minute to 'go find' my caregiver as the other trainer was overwhelmed by work. It's great to see my dear friend around and that we'll be working together but to replce her role is really stressful. My wish came true in a way, I get to do psuedo sales & marketing :) I'm to be a trainer and I'll get to run around, either homes, office or hospital. A meeting to attend tomorrow, just need to attend and stay awake and the rudimentary intro though my Sup did bring me around today. So many faces and so many names, I'm so bad at recalling these. Collected quite a few namecards, must be neater this time round lol A course to attend from 23-25 Sept, will get a day off in-lieu. Jesy-gal will be presenting, can't wait! Dear Nutz, I do miss your presence and our cosy office but on another hand I'm so excited by this new prospect. Hopefully we can meet this Thurs yah :) Oh yah, had a test today and I only found out yesterday as I didn't receive any email bout it, just need to do well for exam and the assignment...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME!
Another year older, none the wiser.

Am I?

See what Care Bear you are.

Ha Ha

Out to test my patience, my wireless became functionless just when I want to publish my posting. Not once but thrice, so half of what I wrote in gone. UGH!

Collected our Nakamichi SoundSpace 1, compliments of Singnet as I signed a 2-year contrct with them. Worth it? Of cos, I need the music in my room to soothe the savage beast within me as I rest lol. Surfing is faster but wireless?...

Been watching My Date With A Vampire III, enjoyed the first 2 so guess this is to round up the series. It's quite amusing seeing the grown up Fusheng and the psuedo a-la Matrix stunts rlol. Tacky at times but at least this season is more humourous and the dishy He Zhen Nan and the used-to-be-mean-but-now-a-curator Vampire. Nope I don't find Kuang Tian You an eye-candy.

My Favourite Road
While waiting for my broadband, there were so many issues i was thinking of blogging. Didn't expect another headline with our Orchard Road being involved. HEADLINE: "Head found in bag near Orchard MRT." Initially I thought the head found in a bag was discovered in the small field, may be covered by a bush or hidden by one of the tree. It's only now after watching the news then I realised it was found just behind the mosaic wall. An area passed by numerous times by many. I first saw the headline on TV Mobile while on our way to Hereen. I then told Lyn and Am but they missed it, a man in his 50's actually turned round and started telling other passengers bout the grisly find which is just a few stops away. Some looked bewildered as I muttered to Lyn how 'icky' I felt, she misheard and thought I was talking bout 'hickeys' haha. When our bus passed the scene, many, including the three of us turned to gawk, two huge red vehicles which I found out later is from the anti-riot police. A huge area was cordoned off, from the side facing wheelock to the area near topshop. Scenes from CSI played havoc on our minds as we try to absorb this. It is in the open justing waiting to be discovered. Not much of an effort in hiding the crime. Why? _______________________________________________________

One of My Ideal Holiday Spot
New Orleans, everyday as you scan through the stories, it's horrifying and gut-wrenching. The 5 or 6 year old boy leading his cousins and neighbours younger than him. The countless bodies floating down the street, or those who will be found hidding in their attics trying to escape the increasing water level. A place famous for Mardi Gras and provided a setting for countless books. They say that we, human are resiliant. Help them if possible, if not just say a prayer.

It's so not true

What with the items we've bought and the Bali trip, it may seem to have given the wrong impressions. But we're not earning big bucks, our income is average and what with our honeymoon, wedding and even reno, the huge dent in our pocket is still ever present.

Occasional indulgence or required necessities should not be mistaken for signs of wealth or monetary comfort. It's to maintain our sense of sanity so we can go forth, march on relentlessly. Work for the dough, and whatever career we have. I'm just glad to have a pay check at the end of the month which I have to balance my bill payment with. It is akin to art performance but of cos I've yet to resort to 'Borow from Peter to pay Paul' theory. And I do not wish to go there.

When I've become an alchemist, I'll let you know...

Counting down

Shucks, another 5 more days before I re-enter into the force, workforce I mean. Got countless things to do and I've yet to feel as though I've had a good break. Wake up late, nap, nap, nap or vege out in front of the TV, read some books.

Think 1hr is sufficient for Operation Retail-Wardrobe? Let's see, shall we....

Was gonna post before-after pics but reckon not. My wardrobe (not the clothes) is the envy of those who have seen it. LOL What a bitch!

Utter Madness

We had a major weekend shopping spree. Nope, we did not strike 4D nor toto. Just a moment of 'live the day like it's the last' or should I say 'buy if you really need it' (laptop), 'we do need it' (printer) and ....*drum roll* please...our first digital video camcorder!!! Which falls nicely into our 'may need it soon' category.

Ha, now, I'm suffering from a monetary-coronary attack. It's not healthy :P

And yes, we got it at Comex. Not a place for good bargain? Think again.

With a trade-in (which we didn't need to cos salesman say no need) we got the printer at $199 instead of $269(yah right), and I get to sell off the current Canon i360 online. My laptop was suffering from dementia and other non-specifc ailments so I traded her (yes, it's a gal) in for $400 and got myself a ugly f**ker, alright not so bad but it's definitely a boy. The camcorder came with lotsa goodies and I'm selling the photo printer plus photo paper that comes with it, remember the portable canon printer the contestants of Miss S'pore were endorsing? Think Bintan, Bikini, and wierd poses.

Worth it? I sure hope so. At least now I can welcome broadband with open arms instead of worrying bout getting the what-nots that I need.

Hurray for interest-free installments, it does come in handy (ok, I still need to get around to doing the necessary, ie call up company to put the item on the plan), I'm still a student remember? So me need PC/laptop. And I don't like to wait for my turn to use his :P Hassle free downloading of school materials and much much more :P yummy....

The camcorder's under his tab, our little luxury for this year *muakz* honey. It was such a waste that we didn't have one during our honeymoon. Would love to capture Chip & Dale on it, mind you, it's the chipmunks from Disney not the hunks ;P Yipee, home made movies, no need to think bout borrowing from people and killing theirs! *Sob* should one of us 'makiao' first, at least we have more options than the wedding video. Can you imagine...

Printer, multi-function at that, is quintessential , 'upgrade' is done bout every 2 years or more so far. It's our first scanner can you believe it?!

Would I part 1500 for a bag? Watch? I've not reached that level...yet hahaha

So here's the photo montage of my comp-gal who has served me faithfully (most times) for the past 4 years and here's the not-so-sleek looking but oh-so-powerful NKOTB. What a diff, and I've always find Compaq so fugly. Ha, I'm going for value for money now, it's not a beauty contests...

Virgo Babes and more

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO MY 2 DEAREST GAL!!

2 pals a year older, my turn to join them next week. What a week it has been, I feel old already. Not much of a break I've been having. Completed my presentation on Tue, which was nerve-wrecking, had the shakes throughout my 'speech' lol. One more assignment to hand in today, but my school buddy didn't realise it's due today...oh well. My bid for a kimono skirt fell through, some bitch got it, damn...I did managed to wrestle a few stuff from others though so guess we're even (me against the auction-world). Yeah, I'm an auction junkie, get my highs from bidding new stuff at cut-throat prices. It's disgusting how some of them shop, well, I'll just one of the many beneficiaries I guess :)

Hell of a week, had another 'drama' yesterday. How odd it feels once you get everything out. Hate it when people blame their weaknesses on childhood. I can blame mine on teen-hood but somehow or rather it has made me stronger, so strong my heart seems to be of steel at times. I mean come on, there are people worse off then us, cliche it may sound. I should be dead by now. But I can count my little blessings, you should too. Guess it's witnessing how some caves into their weakness that makes me who I am. Serious shit, I am still grateful for some things I have in life. Example? My dear hub whom I love to complain but whom I know it's an angel in disguise. My ugly, skinny legs and feet that allows me to run or walk as I please and of cause my sight, born perfect with no need for glasses....yet. I can read all the books I want. I can see.

Yup, yup, the shit will still be there, but I have my angels surrounding me, shoulders to cry on and ears to listen to my lament of some pathetic stuff in this short life I'm living. Who knows, we may be living till our hundreds, I will still have time to see the world then, just need our great modern medical technologies to catch up.

Need to catch up on my "Mystery Shopper" homework now.

Ciao!
